Through the interchange of narratives sculpted around the idea of transforming THE WEIGHT I CARRY WITH ME: The Invisible Punishing Machine, CNS (aka Mabel Negrete + collaborators) will activate their latest temporary venture: SPARKmakers Thinkering School – a self organized group of artists, creators, and activists who will be leading thinkering-shops, presentations, and activities in the YBCA – Room for Big Ideas: CONCEIVING PLACE.
Over a three-month period, the school’s vision is to conceive a multipurpose space, create a peer-to-peer network and actively engage the public through hands-on and minds-on interdisciplinary curriculums. Once a month, this cohort of creators will be leading thinkering project nights to share skills, network and organize. In addition, during gallery hours, they will be gathering to work together and you are invited to join them in this evolving space.
So, come join them.. bring your tools, ideas and claim your place in this growing construction of community, knowledge, and social movement building.
